Another late entry, but I have to blabber about our awesome and splendid performance in TJ. It was TJ's concert, but we owned it! oh yea--- OWNED IT! haha. pardon me for being so explicit. Everyone went in with tight knots in their tummy, for our first rehearsal was a total nightmare, we were speeding, literally like a bullet train, and we all admitted truthflly, our fingers were shaking so much we could not tremblo properly. What was worse was to hear our conductor tell us that there was this bar where we did not pause at... that was the first time we knew it existed. 2 hours left to whack everything. It was a pandamic, our chairman started to lose his temper and well you can guess who the victim was -.-"
When the performance started, we were given the opportunity to sit at the back of the auditorium to watch the performance, and it seemed TJ had gotten their act together. A miracle had happened in 2 days! Prior to that, during a visit by Dar to represent us in the rehearsal, he reported that they were way below expectations. This raised our confidence, but on the day itself, we were dismayed. And we were hoping a miracle would happen in 20 mins for us. haha.
When the spotlight was on us, we were abit panicky, even CC. Making the worst mistake every possible, I played the first note wrong, by coming in early. Gosh!
Here are the mistakes:
1. Dars string snapped, andhe was one of the key players.
2. This made EUgene panic and played one minor off.
3. We rushed a little at the fast part for Ballade
4. Rushed again at the chorus for Third Man Theme
5. I forgot to bow - Le Dung! Your fault! He suddenly shouted my name in the audience and distracted me.
What rocked:
1. Everyone cheered - and i mean EVERYONE in the auditorium
2. We paused on time which brought laughter :D
3. Our exaggerated sways brought entertainment
4. Everyone clapped!! woohoo!!
5. TJ did not have an encore
6. No entertainment either!
7. TJ friends all msged us congratulating us on being the best performers :)
I am so happy! It was definitely the best performance in my life! I can vividly remember - during the fast part, we were supposed to suddenly pause, and we were so together! so on time! It caught everyone by awe and brought tremendous applause. Well, thanks to Darren and Le DUng's wonderful plan of bringing the J1s and centering them in the crowd to cheer and clap with us to the second song. THis encouraged the whole auditorium to clap too :)
After that, we walked to Macs, where we celebrated. haha. i sat with Kai Ping, Steve and Eugene. I finaly got to know them better. Now I know why Kai Ping is so friendly. Steve the introvert, now was not one - he is actually quite cute in a way, and rather gentlemanly, guess its the influence of having a long relationship before. haha. and Eugene, he is so talkative! But all like to suan me :( Oh well, does't matter as long as it brings laughter :) haha.
We took some photos too, which reminds me, I need to ask Arvin for e photos!! :D haha. Nights all! =)
